Alerts FAQ
Where do alerts come from? Readyish checks official feeds about every two minutes: the National Weather Service for weather warnings, and FEMA's public alert system (IPAWS) for county and local-authority messages like evacuation orders and civil emergencies.
Do alerts cost anything? No. All alerts — including urgent evacuation, fire, and tsunami warnings — are free for every Readyish user. No subscription is required.
Where do alerts work? Alert feeds cover the United States and its territories. The rest of Readyish — your plan, inventory, Library, drills, maps, and community — works anywhere.
Why didn't I get an alert my neighbor got? Coverage depends on your saved alert area and on which channels your local authorities use. For immediate evacuation orders, always follow Wireless Emergency Alerts and local authorities — Readyish is a companion, not a replacement.
Readyish Premium
Premium adds unlimited inventory, plan regeneration for any scenario, the full drills library, and unlimited saved map points — $39/year (14-day free trial) or $4.99/month (7-day free trial). Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID; manage or cancel anytime in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
Emergency Note
Readyish is not an emergency service. In an emergency, contact local emergency services and follow official instructions.
